PWH 20  WELD HEAD

The PWH20 precision head was originally designed for use in vacuum tube technology and has now found an ever widening field of application in many industries where welding reliability and consistency is required irrespective of operator performance.

The head is capable of meeting the most exact and stringent welding requirements and absolute reliability.

This is made possible by the unique mechanical construction giving;

  • Low inertia moving parts via a leaf spring assembly for fast electrode follow up, essential for nonferrous and cross wire welding
  • The weld thrust can be set to initiate weld timer through a range of 3-25lb (13.3 -110N) independent of work material thickness and foot pedal control
  • Large throat depth for difficult placed welds
  • Weld initiation occurs simultaneously when pre-set electrode force setting is reached, assuring repeatable high confidence level welds. 
  • The head can be used for AC capacitor discharge welding. the machines weld capacity on the low ranges is .002 dia wire and sheet down to .0006 (0.05, 0.015mm) thick, depending on material, and on the high range wire up to 3/16 (4.75mm) mild steel.
